Can i grow a virginia creeper from a tub?

i want to grow a creeper up a north facing wall which has no soil so i want to use a tub

Can i grow a virginia creeper from a tub?
YES. This creeper will grow anywhere. I planted one in a tub near a trellis on my patio and it grows rapidly in a very short time and looks lovely all through the summer. It is very low maintenance (just trim occasionally)
Reply:be sure your tub has drainage holes in the bottom.. if not, you could drown your creeper!
Reply:Yes i should think so, cut it back after leaves have fallen just to make it look tidy.
Reply:Wow, do you want some of mine? I have it everywhere and can't get rid of the stuff!! Be careful.. it spreads like crazy.
Reply:WOW, i nearly just read your question wrong!
Reply:Anything can be grown in a pot; as long as the plant gets enough food, water and light - it will grow.

Good luck with your (soon to be) beautiful Virginia Creeper.
Reply:yes you will have no problem by doing it this way
Reply:These things grow anywhere, I had one growing in deep shade on top of the weed cover in my landscaping in no soil at all!
