What is a fast growing creeper, or ivy, for a cool climate?

I want it to climb up a sun facing brick wall. and also a picket fence. Any suggestions please?

Try virginia creeper or boston ivy. Both are fast growers and have excellent fall color.
Reply:English ivy withstands anything, and is fast
Reply:Try black-eyed Susan vine. Beautiful.
Reply:Well, I have experienced with the VIRGINIA CREEPER (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) and grows very fast and it is very adaptable to major cold zones. It is a very fast growing vine and it looks like a grape vine! very ornamental and looks the kind of vine you are looking for!!

Reply:How about honeysuckle? It grows fast and smells good. There are several different varieties.
