How can i talk to people who are in bands without sounding like a creeper?

ok so warped tour is coming up again and i always see these people there who go up to bands and are really weird and telling them how much they love them and all the stuff they know about their personal lives and crap. so i just never talked to them because i didn't want to sound like a freak. so how can i go up to them and casually start a conversation with them. i know this is a stupid question but i don't have the best people skills and am pretty shy so i'd like to work on it.

How can i talk to people who are in bands without sounding like a creeper?
Start with just basic small talk, how is their night, plans after the gig, etc. Then if thats all good just find a common interest to carry on talking to them about.
Reply:don't think of them as like peole from bands, think of them as some sort of cocky acquaintance you havent seen for a while.





from past experiences i've learned that alot of band guys don't like hearing what you have to say but like talking about themselves.


what i do is usually start out with like questions, not like anything too personal but like i talked to mason musso about like his pants once.





also depends on yer age and like what you know about a band/band member. if like you smoke and you know he/she does too and like you've gotten into talking offer them a cigarette and then smoke with them.





just like go up to them and be like hey whats up can i get a picture *take a picture* so how's tour going? been hanging out with other bands, partying alot? underage drinking!





and it's always less awkward for you if you have people with you.
