"Jeepers Creepers" - What religious iconography did you notice?

In both movies, "Jeepers Creepers" 1 %26amp; 2, there were a number of religious icons depicted in a number of scenes. For instance, the first "den" itself with all the bodies pasted all over the den walls; that very much resembled the portion of Hell mentioned in "Dante's Inferno" for those swept up in the whirlwind of lust, particularly the image represented here:

Then the scene in the 2nd movie where from came the soundtrack title, "Creeper on the Cross" - particularly in the "Mitzi's Dream" sequence, it's a perfect crucifixion representation.

What other religious icons did you notice, and what do you think they were placed there for?

I never saw the 2nd one, but didn't the first one take place in a church? Lol, there you go... Can't get more religious than a church ;-)
Reply:Yeah I noticed the religious stuff to, like at the end of JC2 when the creature is hanging from the barn almost christ like and the guy is waiting for it to be resurected. Very christian in the heaven and hell sense, even the descending into hell part in JC1. Mayby placed there because the battle of good and evil is always a good plot...or mayby because there really was no other plot in both movies.
Reply:i doubt that that is where it came from, they just did that scene because it is suppose to be scary....you are in a dark place....and the last thing that you would think...is that there are dead bodys hanging from the cealing...which is freaky/scary.....and on the walls....almost gives you a sense of closter phobia %26gt;%26gt;how ever you spell it...
Reply:I was thinking Jehovah's Witness because it wouldn't leave anyone alone.
